Orthodontic treatment in Franklin, TN
Braces and clear aligners both straighten teeth, and both are available to every age group at our practice. The aligner range is named by audience: children are treated with Invisalign First®, teenagers with Invisalign Teen®, and adults with Invisalign®. Adults can equally be treated with braces — and for some jaw problems, neither alone is enough and we plan surgical orthodontics with an oral surgeon.
Which one you need is a clinical decision, not a preference. That is what the free exam is for: a scan, a straight answer, and a written price.

Invisalign®
A series of custom clear aligners that straighten teeth discreetly. Removable, so you eat and drink normally, and more aesthetic at work or in photographs. Three systems, one for each stage of growth.

Invisalign Teen®
The aligner system built for teenage mouths and teenage life — clear and more aesthetic in photos, removable for sport and band, and with compliance built into the trays so we can see wear at each visit.

Invisalign First®
Clear aligners designed specifically for growing mouths. Corrects crowding and spacing early (and narrow arches alongside an expander), and because it guides growth while the adult teeth are still arriving it can make a later phase simpler or unnecessary.

Braces
Traditional metal braces and tooth-colored clear (ceramic) braces. A proven, reliable option — and a perfectly reasonable choice at any age.

Surgical Orthodontics
For jaw discrepancies that moving teeth alone cannot correct. Dr. Roark plans and coordinates treatment together with your oral and maxillofacial surgeon, in both phases either side of surgery.

Palatal Expander
A fixed appliance that gently widens a narrow upper jaw — often the right answer for a crossbite while the growth center is still open.

Retainers & Relapse Care
Replacement retainers, and short fix-up plans for teeth that have drifted years after treatment elsewhere. Teeth move for life; that is normal and usually easy to correct.

Braces are driven by the bite rather than the patient's birthday. The aligner range is different: each system is shaped for a specific stage of growth, so the age group decides which one applies.
